Why is making video so important anyway?
1. Effective video content creates instant human connection that is both authentic and leverage-able.
2. Making video is a fast, fun way to stand out from the crowd.
The hardest part isn't the technical side. It's about standing in front of those lights and not acting like a cardboard-cut-out version of yourself!
So the real question is: are you comfortable being your authentic joyful self on camera?
Have you thought about creating video a thousand times but never quite got started?
Or are you doing it already, but pushing through the pain and hoping it'll get better?
Maybe you're in the situation where you can record videos ok and you can remember what to say and maybe you even know how to edit and light and frame your videos. . .
but it just feels blah.
Perhaps you feel self conscious about speaking to a machine, so instead of being your natural, exuberant self, you came across as stilted and robotic.
If that's where you are, I completely understand. That's exactly where I was when I started. Well, minus the knowing how to light and edit myself. I only learned that later. ;)
Not feeling comfortable on camera was a shock to me in the beginning. I mean technically I was fine, but I wanted to feel great! I wanted to feel the way I felt when speaking on stage - all jazzed up!
I knew how to help my clients feel great behind the lens, but I was doing my projects on my own and a lot of my methods relied on having another person in the room.
So I went back and revisited all the exercises I'd learned and created over the years. I reviewed all my technical notes from film and television training, and I modified my favourite coaching exercises so that they would work solo - when it was just me and my camera. No director, no coach, no buddies to help keep the energy up. I learned a LOT and I had FUN doing it. My camera became my buddy, my coach, my audience. I finally found that connection I'd been missing.
And now I bring to you the process that I created for myself. Because you may not have a buddy. You may not be ready for a professional coach. You might be shy. You might have a crazy schedule. You may want the time and freedom to experiment and play and feel silly all on your own at 3am in your basement with zero judgement until you feel 100% confident with the way you come across on camera. And you can.
I have put together a thorough program to ensure that you feel fully supported and comfortable through the entire process of learning how to love yourself on video. By the time the course is over, you will already have published your first video. You will also have a content plan to set you up for consistent publishing in the future.
There are so many benefits to showcasing your awesome authentic self, especially when you're using video to reach your ideal audience. What are you waiting for?

What are the details?
> The 6 weeks of live support for the online program starts late May 2019.
> Every Monday during the 6 weeks of support there will be a live call to discuss the group's progress. This is a chance to ask questions about the content, get feedback from your instructor on your progress thus far, and share successes with your peers.
> You will be encouraged to record yourself daily in one of the special assignments. This will not take more than 10 minutes of your day.
> Regarding the regular course content, we recommend you put aside between 30 and 60 minutes a day to watch the videos, take notes, and answer any questions that come up. Most days will take 30 minutes or less, so 60 minutes a day is not a requirement, but having the time put aside will allow you to catch up if you miss a day without feeling stressed or left behind.
> The course is 6 weeks long: alternating content and time for practical application: one week on, one week off. You will begin with a week of daily pre-recorded lessons followed by a week "off" for you to complete two assignments based on the content from the previous week, and so on until the end of the course.
> Each week of daily pre-recorded content is chock-a-bloc full of technical wisdom, marketing planning, and exercises to help you feel more at ease with the lens.
> The alternate weeks for assignments will give you a chance to apply what you have learned in a safe space where you can make mistakes, get feedback, and make improvements on sample content so that by the time you create your own videos for the public, you feel confident with the tools and technical aspects.
> You have unlimited access to the pre-recorded course content videos. All of the weekly calls will be recorded and added to the content library as they happen. You can repeat and revisit the concepts as often as you like.
> We start with the most important, foundational concepts and allow you to build your skill level at your own pace. If you choose to work at a different pace from the group, you can still participate in all the calls and your instructors will work with you to create an alternate feedback schedule to make sure you receive feedback on your in-course assignments.
> You will also have lifetime access to an exclusive online community of people going through the same process. This community will continue after the course is complete so you can ask questions, share encouragement, share successes, and give each other feedback, creating a supportive creator community.
The content includes:
> Preparation techniques to allow you to relax and have fun no matter what, for a warm and engaging camera presence.
> A breakdown of different video styles (editing, pacing, effects, brand etc) to figure out what works best for you.
> Demystifying all the technical equipment mumbo jumbo. Outlining only what truly matters.

“I thought it was a question of just checking my nerves at the door, getting up there and giving my message. But I learned to use my body and my voice as an instrument. As a way to get my personality, not just my message, across.
